Slovakian sauerkraut soup

Put sauerkraut (with juice) in the pot (add water) and cook. Then add chopped onions, bay leaves and washed, sliced meat and pre-soaked mushrooms.


When the meat and mushrooms soften, add tomato puree, washed sausage and a well-cooked roux made from bacon, flour and water. Cook, season with salt, pepper and chopped garlic.


Our recommendation

If you want gluten-free soup, replace the roux with grated potatoes.
