Skin regeneration after winter

Do you know what´s good for our skin in winter? Do you wanna know how to nourish the skin so it will be like reborn in the spring? And do you know what for you can use the coconut oil?

Our skin gets really hard in winter. Cold and freezing weather dries it, therefore we should properly nourish and regenerate our skin. Finer cleaning and denser creams are more propriate during the winter. Deeply nourishing masks come in handy once or twice a week. If you don´t use masks normally, they are a must for regeneration after the winter. You can buy a ready mask from your favorite cosmetic brand or prepare your own and fresh, made by natural ingredients just as we do. It’s easier than you might think.

Clean your skin and ideally use also the peeling before applying the mask. This way you´ll clean the skin deeply and then  supply it with great nourishing things. It´s good to steam your face or gently massage it before applying the mask. Your skin will be able to accept the nutrients better. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, or until it dries out, or you start to feel the tension. Rinse the mask gently with warm water and apply your night cream.

While waiting, apply a layer of honey on the lips. It will nourish and moisture your lips. If you lick it down, apply a new layer, and repeat if needed again. Wink

How to make maximum of the coconut oil?

Massage the oil into damp skin, ideally after a shower or bath. The more thoroughly massaged in, the better. All oils, creams, etc. should be applied on the skin within 3 minutes after washing!

In addition to use coconut oil for hydration in the winter time we have a few more tips for its use.

After-sun lotion

After a longer sunbathing it will sooth your skin. Thanks to the high content of antioxidants it helps prevent premature skin aging and anti-wrinkle. Let your coconut oil melt in water bath of about 26 °C and a pour in calendula oil, for even better recovery or a few drops of refreshing essential oil, e.g. peppermint. It will slightly cool the skin and refreshing scent will do well after sunbathing.

Oils should be mixed well and then you can let the coconut oil to solidify again. If you use this oil during your stay on the sun, avoid citrus oils. They are photosensitive, it might cause dark spots on your skin.

Use it instead of aftershave or after depilation balm. Coconut oil doesn´t irritate and sting, while soothes and regenerates. Apply it and let soak for 10 minutes. If you remain greasy, wipe off with a napkin before you go out.

Coconut oil for your teeth?

Increasingly, there is information about the beneficial effects of coconut oil as a toothpaste. It soothes gums and prevents the formation of aft. After several weeks of use your teeth should be visibly whiter. We haven´t tried this one yet!

Hair care

Apply the oil to damp hair. Don´t forget to massage into the roots carefully and also the ends. Leave on for at least 30 minutes, then wash your hair with a shampoo. With regular use, your hair will be firmer and shiny.
