Fast version of the popular dessert – crumble.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C
Cut puff pastry to a square and lay on a baking sheet with baking paper
Make a frame by folding about 1 cm of the edges of the pastry
Crush the biscuits and sprinkle them evenly in middle of the dough (not on folded edges)
Use as much biscuits to cover the dough that you can´t see it.
Cut the rhubarb in pieces big as the “inner” dough
Either soak it in water and wrap in sugar or put straight to the pastry with biscuits and only sprinkle with the sugar.
Top with 4 really thin slices of butter
Brush the edges with an egg
Bake for about 20 minutes – until the lifted edges are golden.
Meanwhile whipp the cream to ¾, add the creme fraiche and whipp in
This cream definitelly uplifts the dessert.
– If you like less sweet desserts, use just 3-4 spoons of sugar.
– Brush the rest of the dough with an egg, salt, cut into 2 wide cm strips, sprinkle with seeds such as sunflower/ poppy/ sesame/ pumpkin..
separate the strips one from another so there´s approx
1cm space between them
Bake at 180% (on baking paper) till golden brown.
