Local crops against flu

have you had the impression recently, that “miraculously” medicinal plants grow only in tropical paradise? Read a brief article on local medicinal foods which are available in each store. Maybe you wouldn´t dream of what could just “ordinary” onions do.

Onion
This veggie is so settled in our cooking that we don´t pay any special attention to it. But onions just like following veggies can rightly be regarded as a natural antibiotic.
Among the list of most positive effects onion has there´s also promoting secretion of digestive and pancreatic juices, treatment of kidney infections, onion can be very effective in combating a large variety of bacteria, dilutes phlegm, relieves cough and helps treating inflammation of the respiratory tract.

Perhaps the most famous onion recipe for cough and flu is fresh onion juice with honey. For cleansing the respiratory tract chop the onion and place it on a plate next to the bed for night. During sleep, you´ll breathe in healing essential oils.
As a precaution, you can occasionally grease a loaf of bread with lard, cover with onion rings (or chopped onion) and salt to taste. Smile

Horseradish
Horseradish is also nicknamed Czech ginseng. It increases the secretion of digestive enzymes and normalizes the composition of intestinal microflora. Purifies the blood, promotes blood circulation in the kidneys and stimulates the activity of several other organs. Helps with colds, flu and upper respiratory tract inflammation. Dilutes phlegm and relieves the urge to cough.

Horseradish generally boosts immunity.

As the strength also the flavor of horseradish is very significant, so soften it a bit: Grate 1 tablespoon horseradish finely and mix it with 3 tablespoons of honey.
Maybe you didn´t know: Japanese wasabi horseradish is part of sushi especially because it has strong anti-parasitic effect when eating raw fish.

Garlic
Garlic lowers blood pressure, significantly purifies the blood vessels, decreases LDL cholesterol and generally enhances immunity, too. Significantly acts against fungi, enormous amounts of bacteria and parasites.

If you can´t eat raw garlic clove itself, juice it together with other veggies, or blend in a simple smoothie. Or simply press into the lemon juice – this drink is called the elixir of youth. Smile

 

Pickled vegetables

Vegetable, which has undergone lactic fermentation improves digestion and helps building and maintaining healthy intestinal flora. Effectively helps fighting against bacteria, viruses, infections, as well as the previous crops, fermented veggies improves immunity, too.

Pickling cabbage is very popular here, but you can pickle also other veggies like carrots, beetroot, onions, radishes, zucchini, cauliflower…

If you include these foods in your diet more often – to prevent, they will certainly reward you with enhanced health.
