How to defeat springtime lethargy
Springtime lethargy is no joke! It is natural though and it is connected to our biorhythm. Springtime lethargy hits hard mid february as our bodies are weakened by winter. The lack of sun, not enough vitamins and minerals. It is important to get your body some energy!
It’s simple. Just slowly switch them slow cooked soups and other food for stir-fried dishes and fresh vegetable to keep it crunchy and full of nutrients. Add some seaweed to your soup. Eat fresh vegetable as a snack.
What exactly are those?
Vegetables: greens, bitter salads ,fresh herbs, celery stalks, microgreens, asparagus, sprouted and seeds, sauerkraut and pickles and seaweed
Spices and dried herbs: turmeric, dried paprica, lemon zest, cardamon, bayleaf, rosemary,thyme
Fruit: berries, pomegranates,grapefruits, lemons, kiwi
Meat: poultry, intestines, fish
Dairy: curd, yoghurt, kephir, sour cream
Cereals: millet, kamut,quinoa
Drinks: rosehip tea, hibbiscus tea, sage tea, warm water with lemon juice
What should you avoid?
- Alcohol and smoking.
- Stress and lack of sleep.
- Processed wheat and other food.
- Too much of white sugar, white flour.
- Cheap processed fats.
What else can you do for your health?
- Tidy up and get rid of useless things.
- Go to sleep before 11 PM on regular basis.
- Don’t eat before you go to sleep.
- Drink 2dcl of warm water with lemon juice. Ideally 20 minutes before breakfast.
- Travel on foot.
There’s no point in fighting spring lethargy. Your body is in light deficit and vitamin and fresh air deficit. It is only logical we’re tired. Accept it as a natural fact. Follow our advice, take a rest and you’ll be fine.
