Baked cabbage leaves with buckwheat
Heat the oven to 180 °C
Pour buckwheat with boiling broth 1: 1 and soak under a lid
Meanwhile, cut the stalk out of the cabbage and blanch it
You can first separate the leaves, or put the entire cabbage head into boiling water, and put out of the fire
Cover with a lid and it´s ready in about 10 minutes
Fry the finely chopped onion with bacon (or other), add the crushed garlic, cumin, nutmeg, salt, pepper and fry for a while, let everything release the scents
Remove from the fire and stir in the buckwheat
Cut the hard part of cabbage leaves to make good wraps
Fill the leaves with the buckwheat mixture and roll
If it won´t keep the shape, pierce it with a toothpick or gently tie with kitchen twine
Lay the wraps on the baking sheet
Pour a little broth in and let bake for about 20 minutes
If you don´t want them crispy on the top, cover the pan with aluminum foil.
If you are not fond of buckwheat, replace it with boiled rice.
